President and CEO
Per Beith is the President and CEO of Aurora Flight Sciences, A Boeing Company, leading the team that is designing and building future commercial and government mobility solutions including rapid prototyping, autonomous systems and advanced composites manufacturing.
In July 2018, Boeing launched Boeing NeXt to transform mobility and create the transportation solutions of the future. At that time, Beith was asked to serve as the program manager of the Boeing NeXt portfolio of prototyping activities and programs including passenger and cargo air vehicles, purpose-built freighter, super and hyper sonic transport, and other innovative initiatives with a strong element of autonomous operations.
Prior to this role, Beith led the acquisition and integration of Aurora Flight Sciences as a subsidiary of Boeing, drawing on his previous experience leading similar efforts with fully and non-fully integrated acquisitions.
In January 2016, Beith joined Boeing Research & Technology, the company’s central research and development organization, to lead the Electronics Technology team driving advancement and verticals in the electronics domain for Boeing commercial and defense business partners. During this assignment, Beith served as Boeing’s executive board member for the Aerospace Vehicle Systems Institute.
Beith spent the majority of his career leading Boeing Defense, Space and Security businesses in the capture and execution of programs in autonomous vehicle systems, signal processing systems, and information security systems. Beith began his career at Rockwell International as a mechanical systems analyst on GPS payloads and ICBM guidance systems.
Beith holds a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from Michigan State University; an MBA from the Drucker School of Management at Claremont Graduate University; and a certification from the Defense Acquisition University Executive Program Management program.
