Aurora Flight Sciences announced today that Kenneth J. Krieg and Dr. Anthony J. Tether have been elected to its Board of Directors.
Kenneth Krieg runs Samford Global Strategies, headquartered in McLean, Virginia. He served as Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition, Technology, and Logistics from 2005 to 2007. Krieg previously served as Director for Program Analysis & Evaluation, Special Assistant to the Secretary of Defense, and Executive Secretary of the Senior Executive Council at the Department of Defense. In private industry, he served for 11 years as a senior manager at the International Paper Company. He holds degrees from Davidson College and from Harvard University.
Dr. Anthony Tether was Director of the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) from 2001 until 2009. Tether earned his undergraduate degree at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and his Ph.D. from Stanford University. He was one of the original employees at Systems Control, Inc before joining the U.S. Department of Defense in 1978, where he served as Director of National Intelligence and Director of DARPA’s Strategic Technology Office. From 1986 through 2001 he returned to private industry, holding senior positions at Ford Aerospace, SAIC, DTI, and The Sequoia Group. Today he serves as a Fellow at the Council on Competitiveness.
