John S. Langford, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer

John S. Langford is the Chairman and CEO of Aurora Flight Sciences Corporation, which he founded in 1989.

Langford is a native of Atlanta, Georgia. He received his Bachelors degree in Aeronautics (1979), Masters in Aeronautics and Defense Policy degrees (1985 & 1983) and Ph.D. in Aeronautics and Public Policy (1987) from MIT.

Mark C. Cherry, President and Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Cherry joined Aurora in October 2012 as President and COO, with responsibility for the operational and financial performance of the company.

He joins us from Sikorsky Aircraft, a Division of United Technologies where he held roles of increasing responsibility, ending as the Vice President of Corporate Strategy and Synergy. There he led Sikorsky’s strategic planning function conducting market and competitive analysis, partnering with Sikorsky business leaders to develop strategic plans to ensure profitable business growth.

John Cronin (Jack) is Chief Strategy Officer for Aurora Flight Sciences, a premier aerospace and defense company with world-class operations and capability in Autonomy, Unmanned Systems and Aerostructures.

Before joining Aurora, Jack was an Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer at Textron Systems Company where he was instrumental in re-crafting the strategic direction for the company resulting in a 100% record for major program wins in Shipbuilding (Ship to Shore Connector); UAS (MEUAS and USN ISR Services); Combat Vehicles (Canada TAP-V and Afghan MSFV); and Weapons (India SFW).

Mr. Crossno joined Aurora in September 2014 as Chief Financial Officer. He is responsible for Finance, Accounting, Treasury and Contracts.

Mr. Crossno was most recently the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Executive Vice President of Kalmar RT Center, a Cargotec company.

Terry Baggett, Vice President of Manufacturing

Mr. Baggett joined Aurora in October 2014 as Vice President of Manufacturing, with responsibility for the operational and financial performance of the company’s manufacturing operations.

He joins us from Bell Helicopter, a Textron Company, where he served for over 12 years in numerous leadership positions of increased responsibility culminating as General Manager, Integrated Operations at Bell’s Rotors Systems Center in Fort Worth, TX. Under Terry’s leadership of the Advanced Composite Center, Bell achieved 100% on-time delivery for all production and spare requirements. He was also recognized as the “Best of the Best” in Manufacturing Continuous Improvement while leading Bell’s partnership with RFG International in Scotland.

Dan Brady, Vice President of Aerostructures

Mr. Brady joined Aurora in June 2007 from Vought Aircraft Industries where he was Director of Global Supply Chain Management and previously Director of Boeing and Bell Military Programs.

At Aurora he is responsible for the profit and loss of the Aerostructures business sector.

Matt Hutchison, Vice President of Engineering

Dr. Hutchison joined Aurora in November 2014 from Rockwell Collins where he led the Unmanned Aircraft Systems and Controls Technologies business.

With previous history at Aurora, he was also part of the successful Athena Technologies spinoff, which was ultimately acquired by Rockwell Collins.

Jeff A. Tillery, Vice President of Quality and SCM

Jeff A. Tillery, Vice President of Quality

Mr. Tillery joined the Aurora team in August 2005, and has served in multiple management capacities including Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Program Management.

In his current role, Mr. Tillery provides executive oversight of Aurora’s AS9100C certified quality management systems (QMS) and supply chain management (SCM) processes across the enterprise.

John Tylko, Chief Innovation Officer

Mr. Tylko was a founding member of Aurora's Board of Directors and has been continuously involved with the company since its inception in 1989.

Mr. Tylko holds a BS in Aeronautics and Astronautics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and is a lecturer in MIT's Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics.
